He is now on trial for those murders. Whether the story comes from Tucson, Columbine or Virginia tech, each time the aftermath of these tragedies are similar. Quickly stories of victims, questions about how someone could commit such brutality, and policy debates on what we can do to prevent such tragedies arise in the public conversation. New versions of the same debates emerge as we try to process what happened. We take a look at issues that have resurfaced in the aftermath of Aurora, including the insanity plea, gun control, media violence, and the public's reactions.
