NotesOfficials and cyclists alike are looking to changes in bike safety for Boston in the aftermath of an accident that left a bicyclist and Boston University student dead. This was the fifth death in bicycle crashes in Boston this year. Bicyclists from Boston to Seattle, where cycling has seen major growth in the past few years, agree that when it comes to urban biking, riders should take caution and stay alert. Representatives from both coasts tell WERS reporter Elizabeth Gillis that new initiatives will hopefully protect cyclists as ridership increases.
